"My Head"

Jace was messing around in the living room today, he lost his balance and fell backward and hit his head on the floor. He kinda cried for a bit, came over to me and I gave him a hug, then he went into the kitchen to get his Elephant Blank. While he was in there Ty and I hear. "My head.....My head.....My beautiful head!!" Ty I and busted up laughing!

FIRST SWIMMING LESSON

So today was Jace's first swimming lesson. He loves swimming, but I thought he might freak out having to go in the pool by himself. Well to my surprise he hopped right in with a huge smile on his face. They have all the kids sit on the steps while they wait for their turn. I was keeping a close eye on Jace cause it looked like he was ready to pounce off the step any second. Well sure enough, he wasn't even in the pool 3 minutes before he goes venturing out on his own and of course sinks!!! His little head was bobbing up and down out of the water, he was trying to doggy paddle but couldn't keep his head above the water. I RUN over there with Aiden on my hip and my big purse on my shoulder, I'm screaming his name, none of the instructors saw him. I get one of my legs, shoe and all, in the pool, but still couldn't reach him. I yelled, "CAN SOMEONE GET HIM!" The instructors see him by that time and grab him and set him back on his little step. My heart was pumping soo fast, I was shaking like crazy and on the verge of tears! Surprisingly he LOVED the rest of swimming lessons. He didn't want to leave when it was over and can't wait to go back tomorrow. Needless to say, I didn't take my eyes off of him the WHOLE TIME and I won't for the rest of the lessons!!! He has this little flotation device that he wears when we go swimming and he can just zip all over the place without our help. I figured he was probably going to do something like this cause he is just used to being able to go everywhere in the water. I was soo glad that I was watching him so closely!! Scared me to death!

Prayers

Saturday night I was saying prayers with Jace before bedtime. I will always say a line and he will repeat after me. I said, "Bless that I can be a good boy in Primary tomorrow." he repeats, "Bless that I will be a good boy in Primary tomorrow, but I won't"!! Little stink was right too......He WAS NOT!! UUUGGG, I don't know what else I can bribe or THREATEN this kid with!!!

Jaces Discovery

Tonight Ty was helping Jace get his pants and shoes on so he could go help him mow the lawn. While doing so Jace says, "Hey dad guess what? I have balls in my Naked. Silly huh?" Oh my heck, I about died when he told me. I guess I shouldn't be surprised......typical boy for ya!!

FINALLY...........

jace FINALLY sat by himself in Primary!!! It's amazing what a good bribe can do. He borrowed a movie from my mom last week and he was soo bad in primary that we didn't let him watch it all week long. We talked about it every day and I told him that he would have to be good in Primary and sit by himself before he could ever watch it. Well sure enough, yesterday right after sacrament meeting he walks down the hall, into the primary room, takes a seat on his chair and didn't move the WHOLE time!!! WOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!! I was so excited that I teared up a little!! It has been so hard and so frustrating. Now we'll see if we are going to have to bribe him with a movie every week, or if he will just go by himself. Either way, at least we know what works now!! Yay for Jace, it only took FIVE MONTHS!!!

OH JACE!!

I got done with a client earlier today and could hear Jace yelling my name. I went down the hall to find that he had locked himself in his room. A few months ago we switched his door knob around so we could keep him in his room at nights. (we always unlock it after he falls asleep). So I went in his room and sat on his bed and was helping him put his socks on. I was talking on the phone to my sister in law when all of the sudden I look over to see Jace slamming the door shut. I yelled, “No Jace, Don’t shut it.” Too late. I walked over to the door and turned the knob and of course it was LOCKED, AHHHH!!! So Jace and I are locked in his room and I had only ten minutes before my next client was suppose to arrive. I was thinking, do I just stay here and hope my client walks in and I can yell to her to come let us out?? Well, I felt a little stupid doing that. So I called Ty and told him that we were locked in Jace’s room and he needed to leave work and come let us out!! (I am SOO grateful I had my phone with me). So he made it and I had two minutes to spare before my client got there. I felt pretty stupid about the whole thing!!
Then………Ty actually took Jace back to work with him and I went to pick him up when I was done doing hair. Jace fell asleep in his car seat before we got home so I decided to leave him in it for a while, checking on him every few minutes. I unbuckled him thinking that when he woke up he could just get out of the car and come in the house. So about 45 minutes later I went to check and he was in the front seat crying. I go and get him and I ask him if he needs to go potty. He says, “No, I already went!” well his pants were not wet so I asked, “Where did you go?” “right there on the floor!!” Oh Great!! So my plan did not exactly work as I thought it would. The child safety thing was on so he couldn’t open the door!!! Oops, sometimes I’m such a dork!! Oh well, I’ll know better next time!!

We have been able to have a couple of park days in the last couple weeks!! Jace absolutely LOVES the park. Every morning he says, "GUESS WHAAAAT MOM??? We get to go to the park today!!!" He Loves It!!

SPRING BREAK

Rachel, Travis and the boys came to Idaho Falls for spring break to visit Travis' parents. Lana, Evynn, Avrie,and Me and the boys went to Idaho Falls to do some playing and visiting.








Two Very cute, Very Bored Kids!!!! They did so good, it was a long drive there and back all in one day!!

So I know that it has been forever since I last blogged, but we haven't had too much going on lately!!!
In February Ty and I went on a little overnight trip to Utah for my Birthday/Valentines Day weekend. My mom was nice enough to watch the boys for us so we were able to spend some good, fun, quality time together. We started off by hitting RC Willey. I have been looking at entertainment centers for sometime now, and got lots of references to RC Willey and Im glad I did!!! I found a beautiful Entertainment center that I love! We then went to Ikea and looked around that MASSIVE store and ended up finding some shelves for the play room! That night we just went to Red Lobster, which I have been craving ever since, and then just hung out! The next day we shopped at Gateway Mall most of the morning, then just headed home!!! It was a short trip, but I loved it!! It's amazing how much more you can get done with no kids around, and how much faster you can get in and out of places!!! I did miss my cute little boys though, and was very excited to get home to them!!

A couple of weeks ago Ty ended up having to go to Las Vegas for work for a WHOLE WEEK!!!!! AAAAHHHHH!!! I have NEVER stayed by myself alone in my house. I will usually go to my in-laws or my parents, but since it was a whole week there was no way I was able to pack up the kids and leave for that long. I already had several appointments set up, and I knew my kids would sleep better if they were in their own house!! SO........ I did it!!! I had Jace sleep with me every night cause I was too nervous to sleep alone, but we made it through!! It was THE LONGEST week of my life and I was SOOO ready for Ty to come home, but I am so proud of myself for sticking it out!!

And last.....Aiden is Finally crawling, well kinda. More like scooting, but hey it's a start. he did it for the first time last Sunday. There was a toy in front of him that he REALLY wanted. We of course wouldn't give it to him cause we knew if he wanted it bad enough, he could get it. And sure enough that's just what he did!! It was very adorable. Of course now he is all over my living room floor, putting EVERY little thing in his mouth he can find. I will never be able to keep up with my kids!! :)

Other than that nothing much has been happening. I am just staying very busy with work and my busy little boys!!

BOWLING NIGHT

We went bowling the other night and Jace had an absolute blast!! He was not so good about waiting for his turn and by the end Im sure he had bowled on everybody's name at least once....probably twice! Everyday since we went he says, "Mooom, Guess Whaaat? We get to go Bowling today!" He Loved it! Aiden, being the perfect baby that he is, just sat in his car seat the whole time and watched us!
