Is this Odd?

A few interesting things about Jace…….
-Doors and drawers must ALWAYS be closed.
-His pant legs and sleeves always have to be down or he just can’t go on.
-He HAS to have socks on. It doesn’t matter if they are way too small, or way too big, as long as his feet are covered!
-When I give him his Sippy cup there can be no liquid on the outside, it must be dry.
-When I tuck him in at night the pictures on the blankets have to be FACE UP!!
-When he eats certain foods, particularly yogurt, he has to have a napkin to wipe his face off after every bite.
-He cannot stand to have his hands dirty or sticky. He uses a baby wipe to clean them when he’s done eating.
-Lights have to be off when he leaves a room.
-And last but NOT Least, He absolutely cannot have anything in his room when he sleeps. He doesn’t have toys in his room since we have a play room, and when he sleeps nothing can be in his room. He will scream until I finally go in there and ask what’s wrong, “Aiden’s toy is right there. Get in out of here.” Ahhhh… One day I went to get him up from his nap and he had climbed up on his headboard and had taken everything off of his walls and made me get it out of there. Then a couple of weeks ago he got a little picture of Jesus from primary. We put it on his wall by his bed and when I went to check on him before I went to bed, he had slid it under his door!! He just can’t handle it.
He has two beds in his room. A Toddler Bed and a Twin. He sleeps in the toddler for now, but eventually we will move him to the twin bed. So last night I was laying in his little Toddler bed with him just chatting with him a little before he went to bed. He says, “Mom, can you please take my Baseball Soccer bed outta here? (which is the twin bed.) “No honey, it’s too big.” He says, “well, then can you get daddy to help you!!”
So, some of his little quarks I definitely appreciate. Others drive me crazy and some are pretty cute. I’m hoping that some of them are just a phase, and he will grow out of them. He is a funny little guy and even though some things get annoying, I love him to pieces and think he is the Greatest!!

More Terribles....

Shaving with a marker I suppose?!?!?

He was suppose to be taking a nap and all of the sudden I hear a very muffled screaming, and a, "HELP MOMMY!" I walk in and he had crawled under his mattress and got stuck under/in his bed!

The other day he also dumped a bag of potato chips down the bathroom sink and proceeded to fill the bag up with water. I was too irritated to grab the camera for that one!

This one's not bad, just kinda funny. He stores things in his clothes so he doesn't have to carry them. He always stashes cars down his pajama pants and the other day he came walking in with carrots in his socks, and yes, he continued to eat them!!! Silly Boy!
Jace is such a great helper with Aiden. He always throws his diapers away for me, puts his binki back in when he's crying, gets him toys, plays with him when he's sad and gives him his bottle when it falls out of his mouth. He has so much patience with him. I've never seen him get mad, yell at him, or hit him. They are so cute together, I hope it ALWAYS stays like that!!!! (I know.....yeah right!) But for now, I love it!
We went up to the cabin the beginning of January with our friends Nate and Tasha. We had tons of fun playing games, watching movies and playing in the snow!!

Brownie Points for Jace

We got Jace some fleece footy pajamas for Christmas this year and he absolutely loves them. He has a hard time zipping them up and down so when he needs to go potty, I help him with it. Well he had just went potty, I was zipping him up and he says, "Thanks mom, You're the best." I said, "oooh thanks Jace, YOU are the best." He then looks over at our big wedding picture that we have hanging on our wall and says, "Mom, that's you and daddy huh?" I said, "yep, that's when we got married in the Temple." He says,in a timid little voice, "You look like a Princess!!!" AWWWWW, he melted my heart!

Jesus Wants Me For A SunBEAM!!

Last week was Jace's first week in Primary. It DID NOT go well. First off he was throwing a fit cause he wanted me to be right by his side. Then when a couple of the kids got up to give the talk and Prayer, he started throwing a fit because he wanted to go up and talk in the microphone!! He kept getting off his chair and trying to sneek up there. I would grab him and sit him back on the chair and he would yell, "OW MOM, stop hurting me." I was just sitting there, trying to hold him on his chair and hold back the tears that were welling up in my eyes. All I could think was, great, I have the naughty, abnoxious kid. I sat with him all during class as well. When we got home we had a serious talk and he wasn't allowed to play with any of his toys for the rest of the day. we get out of church at 11:00am, it was kinda a long day!!
Since I'm the primary secretary I assign the talks and prayers. I decided to have Jace give the prayer and scripture this week since he was so anxious last week to get up on the stand. I had Ty help him with it. He was so stinkin cute, he repeated everything perfectly after Ty, and he had a huge smile on his face the whole time, as did his proud mamma!!! Ty did have to sit with him through sharing time and class, but it was definently a HUGE improvement from the week before!! Hopefully we can keep heading in that direction, and he will be able to conquer it himself in no time!!!

Jace Funnies!

This morning Jace said, "Mom I'm a good boy huh?" I replied, "well I don't know, good boys don't poop their pants(he did last night)" he says, "but mom, I'm SO SORRY and you are SO cute."

The other day we were sitting on the couch and Jace was drinking a little cup of root beer. He offered some to Aiden and I told him that Aiden was too little and he couldn't have root beer. Jace says, "Yeah, He just eats your belly, huh mom!!!"

Cabin

The Monday after Christmas we headed up to the cabin with Ty's family for a few days. There was quite a bit of snow there and the sledding hill was awesome this year!!
Jace insisted on pulling the sled up all by himself.

He LOVED sliding down on his stomach

He also LOVED eating the snow!!

I couldn't believe how well Jace and Avrie did in the snow. They would've been out there all day if we let them!

Mom Jace and Terran

Dad and Jace

Yeah I Know I look like a Freak......but it was so FUN!! :)

CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

This year Jace asked Santa for a Car, a truck, an airplane, a train and a racecar track........Santa Delivered!!
Jace had a blast ripping though all of his presents and then moving on to help Aiden with his. Aiden was VERY content with the bow he ripped off of his first present. It kept him entertained most of the morning!!!
SOCK GOODIES!

My poor baby was sick. You can see in his little eyes that he didn't feel well. He was a trooper though.

By this point he had had it!

Finished Product!!!

We then headed to my parents for, more presents, more games, more food and more FUN!!!

SANTA CAME!!!

Christmas Eve

We were with my family for Christmas this year. On Christmas Eve we picked Tianna up from the airport around noon, then headed to Buhl. Tianna got to come and visit for a week!! It was so great, I forgot how much she livens up the party!!! We played board games, XBOX, Wii, talked, Laughed and ATE lots of food!!!
We came back home that night and Jace and Aiden opened up their Christmas Eve presents (Jammies).

THREE YEARS OLD!!

Jace turned three on December 22nd. With his birthday so close to the holidays he was more excited for Santa to come, than his birthday!! When I woke him up and told him Happy Birthday, the first thing he said was, "Did Santa fill me stocking?"......Then when Ty was leaving for work he said, "Bye Jace, Happy Birthday", Jace said, "Bye dad, Happy Birthday to you too!!" It was adorable!!
Later that night we had a little family party for him with cake, Ice cream and of course Presents!! He was so hilarious when he opened them, he would get so excited. The whole time he was opening them he would say, "it's, it's, it's, it's a.......". THen I would tell him to go and thank whoever it was from. He would go up to them and say, "Thanks Grandma and Grandpa, Happy Birthday!!!" we were all just laughing!!! He had a great birthday, and of course I can't believe that my baby is THREE!!!!
